Igić – Da, rec je u ovom clanku o Radio GLAS-u,samo sto je od tada sada prilicno ubrzanija rotacija i naravno ne drzim se ovakavih kategorija jer mi je najbitnije sta ide izmedju pesama.

Hello mr. Igić, thank you for providing this good background information! Also nice to hear a listener’s perspective! And to meet a listener who knows what, for example, ‘AC’ means – or are you working in radio yourself? Thanks again, and have a great day!

Hi Randy, I’ve had a brief look at the Auto DJ user manual (in Dutch) and from what I understand, it lets you create playlists manually by dragging & dropping songs from your category folders into the playlist field. So yes, you could still schedule song based on a format clock, but from what I’ve seen you can only do that manually in Auto DJ (apart from the ability to copy an existing playlist, and modify & re-save it). If you want to schedule music well, consider alternative play-out solutions (in combination with music scheduling software).

I would like to know: how should I create a show clock for a music format radio station.

3-minute news broadcast at 12h00
1-minute news headline segment at 12h30
4 advert brackets of 2 minutes each, 15 minutes apart from each other
1-minute traffic report feature

60% of the total programming should consist of music.

I’m running an independent and unsigned artists ‘mix format’ and would love to try this out. However, my auto DJ is run on the server, and I spend hours reformatting the rotation. Just curious to see if you can help me out.

Serbia has only one city larger than 1 million (its capital Beograd), and the 2. and 3. cities (Novi Sad and Niš) have about 350.000 and 260.000 people. The number depends on the data source and the definition of ‘urban area’.

Anyway, there are two religious radio stations in Niš – Radio Glas 92.0 (Orthodox Christian) and Radio Marija 102.7 (Roman Catholic, mostly network programming). I suppose the article talks about the former, as the station has a format of AC domestic & foreign pop music, combined with religious programmes and religious music.

I live in a small town about 45 km from Niš, and these two stations have weak signals here due to low power and hilly terrain. I do sometimes tune to these stations (mainly out of curiosity) when I go to Niš for shopping and leisure purposes.

Hi Gaston, how you’ll construct your clock, indeed, depends on your own market situation, target audience and music format, but we hope this post has given you some idea starters of how you could set up your own format clock. If you could list your music categories and your desired exposure of those categories, we’ll be happy to think along with you. Thanks for reading Radio))) ILOVEIT!
